Rustins Teak Oil is a blend of oils (including Tung oil), resins and driers, formulated to seal Teak, Cedar and all bare wood.
It is perfect for coating doors, joinery, furniture and more.
This quick drying oil can be used on interior and exterior surfaces. It penetrates the wood, brings out the natural beauty of wood and veneered surfaces, and provides a natural open-grained, durable finish. It also conforms to Safety of Toys Regulations BS EN 71 Part 3 1995.
Rustins Teak Oil leaves a clear low gloss finish. For a satin finish, use Rustins Danish Oil.
Apply this teak oil easily with a brush or cloth. Bare wood requires 3 coats. Exterior wood will require extra coats. Allow a minimum of 4-6 hours between coats, depending on temperature and humidity. Coverage is approx. 14 sq.metres per litre 1 coat. Preparation: The wood must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Some hardwoods such as Iroko and Teak are naturally oily woods and this should be removed by scrubbing with white spirit or Rustin’s Surface Cleaner and a scouring pad, then wipe away whilst still wet with clean rags. Existing paint and varnishes should be removed with Rustin’s Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper. Bare wood may be dyed before coating with Rustin’s Wood Dye. It is recommended that oak is first treated with Rustins Clear Advanced Wood Preserver to prevent dark staining caused by mould, inherent in oak. Do not apply Knotting
Application: Apply liberally with a clean rag or brush and wipe off the surplus oil after a few minutes. On exterior wood, the first coat should be applied liberally with a brush and allowed to dry without wiping. Nibs may be removed from the final coat by applying the oil with a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain, then wiping away the surplus with clean rags.

Re-coating Time: A minimum of 4-6 hours depending on temperature and humidity
Application Temp.: Ideally 15-25°C, do not apply below 10°C or if rain is expected
Coverage: About 14sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood
Maintenance: Periodic re-oiling is required. For use outdoors re-oiling should be carried out annually. Clean surfaces before re-oiling using white spirit.
Compatibility: Teak Oil may be used over the following Rustins Wood Dye, Rustins Grainfiller, and Rustins Woodfiller . The dye may also be added to the Teak Oil (max 30%), which may also be used as a wood primer before applying undercoat. Rustins Polyurethane Varnish may be applied over Rustins Teak Oil at any time. The surface must be clean before varnishing
Settlement: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original, tightly closed container in normal cool, dry conditions
Hazards: Flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use in a well ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking. Keep container tightly closed.
Important: Rags used for oiling should be laid out flat to dry; otherwise they may catch fire due to spontaneous combustion.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes with white spirit or Rustins Brush Cleaner whilst still wet. If dried on, clean brushes with Rustins Brush Restorer

Goods Return Procedure
At Trade Gear Limited (trading as Outdoor-Style.co.uk), we strive to offer excellent customer service. We want to make your rights as a consumer and our procedures as clear as possible. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to cancel/return orders or report faulty/missing products.
Right To Cancel Order & Return Goods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations), you have the right to cancel your order and return the goods for a refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. (Bespoke and perishable products are excluded).
You must have your receipt and the goods must be in new, unused and undamaged condition, with all packaging.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or post (Suite 16 Stanley Grange, Earl of Derby Estate, Liverpool, L34 4AR) of your decision to cancel the contract, within the 14 day cancellation period.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication before the cancellation period has expired.
Order Cancellation & Returns Process
If you choose to exercise your right to cancel, you will need to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. This may involve either posting the goods yourself or paying a collection charge.
We will inform you of the returns address in our communication to you. This is separate to our registered office address. Please do not send goods to our registered office address, as this is our administration office, not where returns are processed. If you send goods back to our registered office address, the returns process may be delayed and you may be charged for carriage to send the goods to the correct address.
We will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs if you chose a delivery option other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will refund you within 14 days of returning the items.
Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Faulty & Missing Products
If you discover, upon receipt of your order, that the goods are damaged, please notify us straight away by sending a photo and description to email@example.com. On receipt of the goods, they will be inspected to check for the fault. If agreed to be faulty, we can either repair or replace the goods under warranty or we can refund the amount to your account. If however we do not find the goods to be faulty, they will be returned to you at your cost.
If an item or component is missing, please locate the product name on our website, on your order confirmation or in the assembly instructions and notify us via the above email address. We will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible by replacing or supplying any damaged or missing goods free of charge.
