Rustins Quick Dry Decking Stain & Seal is for the fast and reliable treatment of bare timber decking or timber decking areas that have been previously finished.
It both colours and protects hardwood and softwood surfaces with a hard wearing matt finish - providing water repellency and UV protection.
It is a low odour, eco aware treatment that does not yellow with time and resists cracking, peeling, blistering, and other effects of weathering that can impair its appearance.
This decking stain & seal also contains biocide to protect against the growth of algae and mould - prolonging the quality of your outdoor area for longer.
It is water based and quick drying and needs just 2 coats to be effective. The high solid content allows it to provide better protection.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease and contaminants, smooth and sound. Fill large cracks, open joints and damaged areas with Rustins Professional Wood Filler. Remove mould, lichens, algae & moss with a stiff garden brush or a scraper. Do not apply to damp timber as this will prevent the product from penetrating the timber and causing the product to flake off.
Coverage is approx. 12-15 sq. metres per litre, per coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Type: Coloured water-based acrylic stains, Gives long lasting protection to all external wood, while allowing the natural grain to show through. Available in Brown Cedar, Antique Pine, English Oak
Intended Use: Protection of timber decking
Special Features: Low odour, non-yellowing, resists cracking, peeling, blistering. Wash brushes in water

Application: Using a synthetic brush, apply liberally with a full brush. The first coat may be diluted with water on hot days (up to 15%). Do not apply to hot surfaces or in strong sunlight if possible. Subsequent coats will darken the colour. Do not apply when rain is expected
Coats: 2 coats, but for best protection apply 3 coats
Drying Time: Touch dry 30 minutes. (On hot days may be touch dry within 10 minutes) Re-coating Time: 4 hours minimum, depending on temperature & humidity
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not apply below 10°C, in high humidity or if rain is expected
Coverage: 12-15 sq. metres per litre, per coat, depending on absorbency of surface Maintenance: Clean surface thoroughly with Rustins Decking Cleaner and apply further coats as required
Compatibility: May be applied over old existing coatings if these are in good condition. If applying over wood preservatives test on a small area to ensure the varnish dries and adheres well
Settlement: STIR WELL BEFORE USE
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original, tightly closed container in normal conditions. Do not store below 5°C. PROTECT FROM FROST
Hazards: Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothes. Keep out of reach of children. A full Safety Data Sheet is available upon request
Clean-Up: With water whilst still wet. If dried-on, clean equipment & brushes with Rustin’s Brush Restorer

Goods Return Procedure
At Trade Gear Limited (trading as Outdoor-Style.co.uk), we strive to offer excellent customer service. We want to make your rights as a consumer and our procedures as clear as possible. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to cancel/return orders or report faulty/missing products.
Right To Cancel Order & Return Goods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations), you have the right to cancel your order and return the goods for a refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. (Bespoke and perishable products are excluded).
You must have your receipt and the goods must be in new, unused and undamaged condition, with all packaging.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us via email (email@example.com) or post (Suite 16 Stanley Grange, Earl of Derby Estate, Liverpool, L34 4AR) of your decision to cancel the contract, within the 14 day cancellation period.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication before the cancellation period has expired.
Order Cancellation & Returns Process
If you choose to exercise your right to cancel, you will need to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. This may involve either posting the goods yourself or paying a collection charge.
We will inform you of the returns address in our communication to you. This is separate to our registered office address. Please do not send goods to our registered office address, as this is our administration office, not where returns are processed. If you send goods back to our registered office address, the returns process may be delayed and you may be charged for carriage to send the goods to the correct address.
We will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs if you chose a delivery option other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will refund you within 14 days of returning the items.
Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Faulty & Missing Products
If you discover, upon receipt of your order, that the goods are damaged, please notify us straight away by sending a photo and description to firstname.lastname@example.org. On receipt of the goods, they will be inspected to check for the fault. If agreed to be faulty, we can either repair or replace the goods under warranty or we can refund the amount to your account. If however we do not find the goods to be faulty, they will be returned to you at your cost.
If an item or component is missing, please locate the product name on our website, on your order confirmation or in the assembly instructions and notify us via the above email address. We will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible by replacing or supplying any damaged or missing goods free of charge.
