Rustins Exterior Wood Oil is a unique water-borne blend of natural plant oils and other special ingredients, designed to nourish and protect all types of outdoor timber.
It is a penetrating oil that dries to a clear satin finish. It provides a durable and water resistant seal that brings out the beauty of the wood grain.
This wood oil is perfect for use on garden fences, sheds and garden furniture.
It is a low odour, quick drying, food safe formula that offers high UV protection.
Apply liberally with a clean rag or brush and wipe off the surplus oil after a few minutes. The first coat should be applied liberally with a brush and allowed to dry without wiping. Bare wood requires 3 coats. Exterior soft wood and end grain may require extra coats. Coverage is approx. 13sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.
Drying time is typically 2-3 hours depending on temperature and humidity. In good conditions, allow 4 hrs between coats.

Type: Rustins Quick Dry Exterior Wood Oil is a unique water-borne blend of natural plant oils and other special ingredients to nourish and protect all types of exterior timber. Rustins Quick Dry Exterior Wood Oil dries with a low lustre finish.
Intended Use: For all kind of exterior timber, doors, joinery, and garden furniture.
Special Features: Brings out the natural beauty of wood and veneered surfaces. Gives a natural open grained lustrous finish. Easy to maintain. Conforms to Plastic materials and Articles in contact with Food (England) Regulations 2008.
Preparation: The wood must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Remove wax by scrubbing with White Spirit or Rustin’s Surface Cleaner and a scouring pad, then wipe away whilst still wet with clean rags. Existing paint and varnishes should be removed with Rustin’s Strypit Paint and Varnish Remover. Bare wood may be dyed before coating with Rustin’s Wood Dye. Oak and softwoods are prone to weather staining caused by moisture activating mould spores present naturally in the wood. To prevent this it is recommended that oak etc. is first treated with Rustins Clear Advanced Wood Preserver.

Nibs may be removed from the final coat by applying the oil with a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain, then wiping away the surplus with clean rags.

Re-coating Time : In good conditions, allow 4 hrs between coats.
Application Temp.: Ideally 15-25°C, do not apply below 10°C or if rain is expected.

Maintenance: The timber will require re-oiling at least annually. Horizontal surfaces and very exposed locations may require more frequent attention. When re-coating becomes necessary clean with white spirit, lightly sand and re-apply further coats.
Compatibility: Rustins Quick Dry Exterior Wood Oil may be used over the following products; Rustins Wood Dye, Grain filler and Wood filler. Rustin’s Polyurethane Varnish may be applied over Rustins Quick Dry Exterior Wood Oil at any time. The surface must be clean before varnishing.
Settlement: Shake well before use.
Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original, tightly closed container in cool, dry conditions.
Hazards: Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin wash immediately with plenty of water. Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. Important: Rags used for oiling should be laid out flat to dry; otherwise they may catch fire due to spontaneous combustion.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes with warm water and detergent. Clean hardened brushes with Rustins Brush Restorer. Dried films may be removed with Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.

At Trade Gear Limited (trading as Outdoor-Style.co.uk), we strive to offer excellent customer service. We want to make your rights as a consumer and our procedures as clear as possible. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to cancel/return orders or report faulty/missing products.
Right To Cancel Order & Return Goods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations), you have the right to cancel your order and return the goods for a refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. (Bespoke and perishable products are excluded).
You must have your receipt and the goods must be in new, unused and undamaged condition, with all packaging.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or post (Suite 16 Stanley Grange, Earl of Derby Estate, Liverpool, L34 4AR) of your decision to cancel the contract, within the 14 day cancellation period.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication before the cancellation period has expired.
Order Cancellation & Returns Process
If you choose to exercise your right to cancel, you will need to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. This may involve either posting the goods yourself or paying a collection charge.
We will inform you of the returns address in our communication to you. This is separate to our registered office address. Please do not send goods to our registered office address, as this is our administration office, not where returns are processed. If you send goods back to our registered office address, the returns process may be delayed and you may be charged for carriage to send the goods to the correct address.
We will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs if you chose a delivery option other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will refund you within 14 days of returning the items.
Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Faulty & Missing Products
If you discover, upon receipt of your order, that the goods are damaged, please notify us straight away by sending a photo and description to email@example.com. On receipt of the goods, they will be inspected to check for the fault. If agreed to be faulty, we can either repair or replace the goods under warranty or we can refund the amount to your account. If however we do not find the goods to be faulty, they will be returned to you at your cost.
If an item or component is missing, please locate the product name on our website, on your order confirmation or in the assembly instructions and notify us via the above email address. We will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible by replacing or supplying any damaged or missing goods free of charge.
