Rustins ASAP Quick Dry All Surface All Purpose Paint is a versatile and durable paint that can be used on multiple surfaces and for all purposes.

It is a quick drying water based paint that is touch dry within 30 minutes of laying the first coat and it has a re-coating time of just 2-3 hours.

The paint has a satin finish which offers fantastic resistance to flaking and peeling - offering better results and longevity.

There is no need to use a primer before applying this paint, and it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, on surfaces including metals, woods, plastics, ceramics, glass, plaster, masonry and more.

The surface must be clean and free from dust and any loose paint, wax, grease, dirt, fungal growth or solid matter likely to interfere with the adhesion of the paint. Do not apply to damp areas.

Coverage is approx. 12 – 14 sq. metres/litre per coat.

Rustins ASAP Quick Dry All Surface All Purpose Paint is available in 7 colours, including black, white, cream, red, blue, green, and grey in 250ml, 500ml, and 1 litre sizes.

White, black, and grey paint is also available in 50ml sizes.

Product: Quick Dry All Surface All Purpose Paint

Type: A high performance acrylic satin paint available in black, white, cream, oxford blue and green

Intended Use: For use on a wide range of surfaces such as UPVC, most plastics, timber, metal, tiles, stone and bricks without the need of a primer

Special Features: Quick drying and easy to apply to on an extensive range of surfaces both indoors and outdoors

Preparation: The surface must be clean and free from dust and any loose paint, wax, grease, dirt, fungal growth or solid matter likely to interfere with the adhesion of the paint. Do not apply to damp areas. Sources of damp should be eliminated before applying the paint. The product can be applied to surfaces without the need of a primer. However on metal improved protection will be achieved if an anti-corrosive metal primer such as Rustins Quick Dry Red Oxide Primer or Rustins Galvanised Primer is first applied. The product can also be applied directly to timber but a suitable primer such as Rustins Quick Dry Primer and Undercoat will help to reduce the appearance of the grain of the timber if this is important

Application: STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Do not thin the product. Apply evenly by brush. One or two coats should be applied allowing 3-4 hours between coats in warm dry conditions. Cold damp conditions will significantly extend the drying times. Do not apply outdoors when foggy or likely to rain before the paint has dried

Coats: 1 coat is usually sufficient. A second coat may be applied for improved durability

Drying Time: Approximately 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity

Re-coating Time: Approximately 3-4 hours

Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not apply if rain imminent.

Coverage: 12-14 sq.metres per litre 1 coat

Maintenance: The surface may be washed with a mild detergent solution and a scrubbing brush and recoated if necessary

Compatibility: May be applied to a wide range of surfaces and paints but test for compatibility and adhesion if in doubt


Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original tightly closed container in a cool dry place

Hazards: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. A full Safety Data Sheet is available upon request

Clean-Up: Remove excess product from brushes before cleaning. Clean brushes whilst wet with water. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustin’s Brush Restorer.

Goods Return Procedure

At Trade Gear Limited (trading as, we strive to offer excellent customer service. We want to make your rights as a consumer and our procedures as clear as possible. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to cancel/return orders or report faulty/missing products.

Right To Cancel Order & Return Goods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (which replaced the Distance Selling Regulations), you have the right to cancel your order and return the goods for a refund within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. (Bespoke and perishable products are excluded).

You must have your receipt and the goods must be in new, unused and undamaged condition, with all packaging.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us via email ( or post (Suite 16 Stanley Grange, Earl of Derby Estate, Liverpool, L34 4AR) of your decision to cancel the contract, within the 14 day cancellation period.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication before the cancellation period has expired.

Order Cancellation & Returns Process

If you choose to exercise your right to cancel, you will need to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. This may involve either posting the goods yourself or paying a collection charge.

We will inform you of the returns address in our communication to you. This is separate to our registered office address. Please do not send goods to our registered office address, as this is our administration office, not where returns are processed. If you send goods back to our registered office address, the returns process may be delayed and you may be charged for carriage to send the goods to the correct address.

We will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs if you chose a delivery option other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will refund you within 14 days of returning the items.

Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Faulty & Missing Products

If you discover, upon receipt of your order, that the goods are damaged, please notify us straight away by sending a photo and description to On receipt of the goods, they will be inspected to check for the fault. If agreed to be faulty, we can either repair or replace the goods under warranty or we can refund the amount to your account. If however we do not find the goods to be faulty, they will be returned to you at your cost.

If an item or component is missing, please locate the product name on our website, on your order confirmation or in the assembly instructions and notify us via the above email address. We will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible by replacing or supplying any damaged or missing goods free of charge.
